We are Suspension Coffee. We started as a small specialty roastery and espresso bar — Suspension Espresso — in 2003 in Newcastle, Australia. We have spent the last twenty years roasting in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and Sydney. The espresso bar has since been sold, and we are now living and roasting in Marrickville.
We are a small batch roastery, roasting on a Diedrich IR12. We run unique profiles developed to maximise richness of flavour. Our coffees are all selected and roasted for excellent body, mouthfeel and crema.
We are primarily espresso roasters, however our coffee tastes excellent when prepared by other methods. We do most of our taste testing on an espresso machine, pouring short black shots.
We sell numerous single origin coffees as well as blends, a fair balance of regional and estate coffees, and some organic and fair trade beans.
